I think I've just come to realize that blew a fantastic summer of taking pictures. Now that fall is just about over and the temps are dipping low the opportunities to just go out and shoot are falling far between. I'll need to revert to indoor photography and setting up lighting and such when I so prefer outdoor lighting. I think everyone has their own idea of how to make it work for them but you know. With the end of the year comes more and more requests to portraits and then there are Christmas cards and photo presents and.....ugh. I suppose, money is money no matter what form in comes in! I'm not quite sure where the past few months have gone, but they are absolutely not here anymore. I did not go any any photo shoots, nor did I have any artistic inclinations to speak of. I'll call it photo-block. I did shoot a wedding and a few sets of portraits but that was about it. As pleased as the clients were about it all, I felt it was some of my most 'distracted' work I've ever done. My mind has been on ensuring that my life is intact and that I'm focusing on the right things. Blame it on astrology or bad moons or bad karma - photography was not it for me this summer. First of all - curses and thank yous to the Photo Guy for introducing me to this site. I find it thoroughly addictive and am unable to stop myself from surfing and adding deviations!!! I feel compelled and inspired again, after about a year of being on hiatus and it's fantastic to want and need to pick up the camera bag and move forward. :blahblah: Anyway, I've been terribly sick the past two weeks and bored out of my mind so the distraction on here has been very welcome!
